What people are saying
Many viewers find “Mayday” to be an unpretentious ’80s throwback with strong chemistry between its leads, particularly praising Kenneth Branagh’s performance as unexpectedly funny and gruff. While the action is sharp and the pacing brisk, some note that the film takes few risks, remaining predictable throughout and underdeveloping its side characters.
