Who We Are
Cinemasm (cinemasm.com) is a free movie and TV series discovery website. We help you find films and shows worth watching. We do not sell subscriptions, take payments, or require account registration.
What Data We Collect
We do not ask you for personal information, and there is no login or account on this site. However, data is still collected in two ways you should know about:
- Server logs. Our host, GoDaddy Managed WordPress, records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance. These logs are governed by GoDaddy’s privacy policy.
- Third-party services. Advertising and affiliate partners embedded on this site set their own cookies and may collect information about your visit. These are described below.
Cookies and Advertising
This site uses cookies, including advertising cookies set by third parties.
- Essential cookies. WordPress may set a session cookie required for the site to function.
- Google AdSense. We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
- Affiliate tracking. Some outbound links to streaming services and retailers are affiliate links, including the Amazon Associates programme and impact.com. These use cookies or URL parameters to attribute a referral to us if you click through and make a purchase.
Your Advertising Choices
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking advertising cookies does not stop you using this site.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Affiliate Disclosure
Cinemasm participates in affiliate programmes, including the Amazon Associates programme. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This does not affect what we recommend or the ratings we show, and it costs you nothing. Full details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
Where Our Content Comes From
Film and TV metadata, posters and streaming availability are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) under their terms of service. Trailers are embedded from YouTube and load only when you choose to play one; until then no request is made to YouTube. Written summaries, FAQs and our watch-or-skip verdicts are produced by Cinemasm. Streaming availability is informational and may not always be current.
Children’s Privacy
Cinemasm is a general-audience movie discovery site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not request personalised advertising for users we know to be under 13.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising partners will only use cookies for personalised advertising where you have given consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time using the options above.
Your Rights
Because we hold no account or profile for you, we have no personal file to retrieve or delete on request. Data collected by the third parties above is held by them and governed by their own privacy policies, linked in this page. You can exercise choices over advertising data using the opt-out links above, and you can clear cookies at any time in your browser. If you have a question or a request about your data, contact us and we will help where we are able to.
External Links
Our pages link to streaming services and other external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this page when our advertising or analytics arrangements change, and will revise the date at the top when we do.
