How many Star Wars movies are there?

What order should I watch Star Wars in?
If you have never seen any of it, release order is the safest choice: the original trilogy sets up reveals that the prequels would otherwise spoil. Chronological order works better on a rewatch, when the surprises are already known.
Where does Rogue One fit in?
Rogue One leads directly into the original 1977 film. It ends moments before A New Hope begins, so watching the two back to back is very effective.
Where does Andor fit in?
Andor is a prequel to Rogue One, following Cassian Andor in the years before that film. Watch it before Rogue One.
Do I need to watch the animated series?
